Agile software developments develops the software in stages which last 1 – 4 weeks depending on the project. Allowing changes to be made if needed as quickly as possible. Often these stages are treated as miniature projects that all come and combine with each other. Each stage is shown to the stakeholder for examination of working probability.
The Agile Manifesto was developed in 2001 by software developers in America, including work from Kent Beck . Their work brought us new ways in developing software. They had 12 principles which can be see here: http://agilemanifesto.org/ .
The main points under Agile software development are:
- Individuals and interactions
- Working software
- Customer collaboration
- Responding to change
These methods revolutionised Information systems. Enabling a quick active software brought to the consumer and user with relative ease. Many methods of agile exist.
