Today i’m gonna give a brief introduction to the world of the system development life cycle that was first conceived by Winston Boyce in 1970.
The software development life cycle refers to the process of creating or altering software systems, and the models and methodologies that people use to develop these systems. In any such lifecycle, people, process and technology all play a role in success.
A Software Development Life Cycle is essentially a series of steps, or phases, that provide a model for the development and lifecycle management of an application or piece of software. The methodology within the SDLC process can vary across industries and organizations.
Heres a simple diagram showing the order of the steps of the SDLC.
That’s all for now folks 🙂 Next time we’ll talk more about each step and what they entail.
