Flowcharts and Data Flow Diagrams

A flowchart is a tool for analyzing procceses, programs and systems.

A flowchart depicts the flow of operation through a program or process.

Flowcharts are made up of a set of standard symbols including decisions(triangle), process(square), start/end terminal (running track oval), and connector and comment symbols(arrows) etc.

Flowcharts must always start with a start/end terminal symbol and should also finish with the symbol.

There are also different types of flowcharts such as:
Systems flowcharts
Deployment flowcharts
Top-Down flowchart
Logic flowcharts

This is an example of a basic flowchart
