Trends In Information Systems: P2P

21 Feb

Hey guys, today I’m going to discuss the emerging P2P system. A P2P system is a very important system that negotiates work amongst peers in an organisation. Each of the peers in an organisation are equal. Each computer in the system is referred to as a node. Each member f a P2P system would set aside a portion of its resources that would the be made available to all the computers in the system with no additional requirements necessary eg. a server. With this new type of system, peers become both suppliers and consumers of information and it is easier to be recovered and way more efficient. It is completely different to the traditional method of supplier-client relationship where the supplier only supplies the information and the client only consumes the information. An emerging collaborative P2P system is are moving away from peers sharing information but instead trying to find new people who can bring modern, unique and capabilities to a virtual environment that can be beneficial to all peers in the system but can be undertaken individually.
