Analytical skills vary from dealing and solving complex and straightforward problems and concepts and making decisions based on the obtainable information. Analytical skills show logical thinking to gather and analyze information, testing solutions and generating plans.
Technical skills with the use of technical skills it is easier to understand the potential and limitations of information technology. It helps in to understand how computers, data networks, databases and operating systems work together. The system analyst must also be able to work with the complex programming languages.
Managerial skills help the system analyst to manage projects, their resources, the possible threats and risks and finally the on-going changes. This ability to make decisions, understand concepts, develop ideas and implement strategies proves very important for a system analyst.
Interpersonal skills or also known as people skills are the vital skills a person uses to communicate and/or interact with others including persuasion, delegation and active listening. These skills are extremely important as it helps the system analyst work with other system professionals, programmers and importantly the end users.
