So under this particular topic heading, people have discussed the pros and cons of both purchasing and developing information systems. Something I have yet to discuss are the different building blocks upon which information systems can be built.
Here I have found an interesting video on Building Information Systems at the “edge of chaos”: which they describe as “a place where there is enough innovation to keep a living system vibrant, and enough stability to keep it from collapsing into anarchy.”
Here they compare the building of an I.S. to a busy taxi rank or railway line, a different way to think about it anyway. Blog again soon🙂
