Excellent communication skills: As we increasingly become a service economy, being a good communicator is essential for leaders.Great communicators can adapt to their audience, they don’t waste the another team members time, they use straightforward language when talking and writing, are good listeners who don’t jump to conclusions, and are always trying to improve their communication style.
True adaptability: Leaders are willing to change as circumstances dictate and are comfortable with feedback, which can be both positive and negative. This may include negative feedback about the I.S systems that requires components to be altered.
Willingness to admit shortcomings: Leaders understand where their strengths lie and where they don’t. They are also comfortable with relying on others to fill those gaps in skill and experience.
