The last furlong! (only to concern ‘what is an information system’ bloggers)

6 Mar

Fellow bloggers,

As the deadline fast approaches on Sunday 10th of March, our team is coming in third place in the blog count, 6 blogs behind the leaders, ‘System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in IS’. As the top of the table stands:

  1. System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in IS – 59
  2. Trends in Information Systems – 57
  3. Whats is an Information System – 53
  4. What is the role of a Systems Analyst – 51

Of course, its all about quality and not quantity but we can excel in both!

Paddy Power has us at 3-1 to top table. Paddy Power uses an information system called Linux thats helps manage the huge amount of information they process on a daily basis. With Cheltenham next week and millions of bets being placed throughout the week, their information system will need to ready to adapt quickly to the changing prices of the horses. So when your in Paddy Powers next week take a moment to think of the information system behind the madness.

So keep the blogs coming people and show the ‘System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in IS’ team what we’re all about, the race is on…

(P.S this blog brings us up to 54 blogs…only 5 behind now ;) )
