The end has come

9 Mar

After 2 months of blogging we have come to our finish line. Undoubtedly everyone’s effort is going to benefit us greatly with this massive folder of knowledge. It is going to be so useful come exam time.We have examples and in depth research done on all aspects of IS, something that none of us would have been able to do in studying this module. I would like to say thanks to my group members 111303111,111312791 and 111306601.

In this final blog im just going to take a short look a what does the future hold for Agile methods of Software Development.

It goes without saying experts will continue to create new way of operating and developing systems faster and more intelligent than ever before. Pressure is on to make Scrum, XP, Kanban, lean and adaptive all faster. To get the product to the customer in record time. In doing this it needs to still co-operate with the customer not forgetting their needs, even if they are unaware of their own needs at early stages. Agile’s incremental development, speed, and flexibility resonate with IT leaders who want developers to focus on working with users to develop the applications.

New technologies such as cloud computing and the emphasis on the mobile market have and will continue to revolutionize all processes of technology and IS. After all Information systems is the key to their success.

A report called Agile Software Development and the factors that Drive Success surveyed 112 professionals regarding application development habits and success. It found that companies already successful in application development used Agile techniques to make them even better.

Agile compared to more traditional models has the ability to be be faster and easier to implement than in traditional models.

Fantastic blog, you summed everything up perfectly in the first paragraph and I liked the way you discuss “the future of agile..” to round off the series of blogs you have written. Clearly you’ve worked hard over these past 6 weeks and have done a lot of research and analysis on the topic of agile methods of software development. Good job🙂
